I have just received the notice for ads for the ABA yearbook. Deadline is May 1st 2014. If I get enough members together we can have a page for the UOC. The total cost is 120.00. $20 dollars per each square ad for a total of 6 needed or 40 dollars each for three rectangular ads. The club banner and information will be at the top of the page. Please email me and let me known if you would like to place an ad. I would need to know by April 1st. I have not received anything from the APA, but should shortly. I did look on their website and could not find the information for the 2014 yearbook ads. Last year it was 16 dollars for 1/6 ad total of 6 per page or 32 dollars for a 1/3 ad total of three for a page. If you are interested I can take down a list and email or call you when I have a price from the APA.

Please email me at korfuskluckers@aol.com or Jon Alden at jonald93@rocketmail.com. We are having problems trying to sort threw members and non- members and if you send us a quick email, we will be able to verify your identity. If you are not using the same email you signed up with the UOC. You will get a quicker response if you email Jon the UOC webmaster. Thanks!

How old is the male in the pictures with the EE. I would say he is young and has more filling out to do. I would like to see him a little longer in the back (big problem with some orps) more width and a little deeper in the chest, but he might get this with age. Hope this helps. I would keep him and watch him until he is finished.

We have a person that would like the UOC national to be held at the Knoxville TN fall show. Would appricate any feedback. The APA is holding their national there as well, which means there should be a large amount of entries.

Christina, I talked to Jim a few days after the show and he is going to try to get a good photo of his Ch. cock bird at home. If he gets a good one, he is going to email it to me. I, in turn, will post it for all to see. Jim has done very well with his Buff Orpingtons in the short time he has had them. There are others who have this line that are doing well with them too. We owe our thanks to those individuals whom have been dedicated to keeping these birds going at their best! I congratulate you all!!! Bob Thanks Bob! Looking forward to pictures.

No, I really got no good pictures of my orpingtons.f That buff male made her look small. Even though she is not! I was to busy taking pictures of some other orpingtons and breeds of chickens and waterfowl.

This bird was a massive boy. The pictures the poultry press had were better than mine. The bird is still at an angle. He was/is nice and deep inthe chest. Hands down one of the best buff LF I have seen in person!

I have noticed with some lines that blacks from blues are usually dull (green sheen) but once bred for generations you will get the sheen back. I have also seen blacks that are from blues that have better sheen than the "true blacks" It really is all about the genes the birds carry or the lack of. It seems their are many that are trying to "market" their birds to make alot of money. I always like the auctions that say "show winning birds" and when asked what shows they have won, they say I don't show.
