Has anyone considered on breeding the Orpington to the same color as a Chamois pencilled Friesian from the UK. The color can be seen on page 120 of the UK standards book. The hen is a lot more striking than a lemon cuckoo but the male is different since it is a pencilled variety and not a cuckoo variety.

To get points, it has to be a orp meet. To be a orp meet you need to get ahold of the show mangement and get them a show report and it has the info to put in the show booklet. You can have a state, special, district or national meet. It's best to get ahold of district director and get him or her to get it done. However I have done alot of them because the lack of director or couldn't get ahold of director. I used to do a orp meet at the Newport, TN show and there would never be any show up but mine. Vern and Sandy are doing the points, and they might jump in here a help me out.

I forgot to add. We are going to also do juniors next year, we have not done that. Roy brought that up and I'm in favor in doing all we can for the juniors.

Thanks for the newsletter. K read the whole thing in one sitting. He is thinking of writing a short story about his only orpington, a little buff hen that he picked out at the Farm and Home a couple of years ago.
