Greetings, from Nebraska. My wife and I along with our three kids I,A, and E have recently gotten some 9 mo old Buff Orpingtons that plan to show in 4-H. We are at the end of our first year with chickens having raised some Rhode Island Reds pullets that we picked up at a local farm store. We had done a little research before we picked out our fair birds and did OK even though they weren't Standard (we a fairly small fair, but a good judge that explained things well) We sold the dozen pullets and replaced with three BO pullets and 2 cockerels. I learned in showing cattle the people are who make going to shows and the business (hobby in this case) fun. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to learn hear the ins an outs of showing Orpingtons and meat some great people.
John
