I believe some stores sell snake repellents, you could try spraying or spreading that around the outside of the chicken houses and pens. Just make sure its safe to use around them.

I am not sure about spangled as far as Orpingtons go, but I know Spangled in OEGB are Mottled BBR, so what they are meaning has to be different lol. It could also be a term that was coined in england just to sale birds.

I have seen some mottles from Bo, they are pretty nice. I wouldn't necessarily call those exchequer, I think those would have to have more white.

Even if they are decedents of the mottled, if they arent bred properly, and with proper culling, the color can become flawed.

David, I do like his length of body, and it looks like he has good width also.

His underline is more like a V and less like a gravy bowl which I would like to see. Also I would like more depth in his tail.

Don, I was down there at the end of May, the storms were pretty bad on my way back home on the night of the 31st. Had to stop by the Ill-Mo show first though.

Proboards has upgraded their systems, it might take a bit to get used to. They have improved a few things, and have changed the log in system so I believe you can use the same acct on any proboard forum you are on, or at least a streamlined process.
I have also added a photo gallery like what Showbirdbid has, so people can showcase pictures of the birds at different shows, along with different pictures of their own birds.
If you have trouble figuring out something feel free to send me a message on here, or an email at JonAld93@rocketmail.com

I haven't done it... yet... but I believe that the offspring would look similar to what you get when you cross a black bird with a buff, so its a muttled black and buff color, I personally would just cull for type at that stage and then take them back together and you should get some either solid white or predominantly white from those crosses, the hardest part would be getting the brassiness from the buff out of them.

The breeder that had the BV White at the Orp Nationals this year said that he couldnt find any good whites when he got started so he found the best whites he could and crossed them to buffs. Can you improve whites by using Buffs??
