Here is one of my white cockerels I am not sure if i should keep him or cull let me know what you think. David Keep him as a back up. Like many White males we always would like to see some more size. Does he have Harry's blood in him? He does not look like a pure UK White. In honor of this being the 50 year anniversary of Doctor Who (longtime English scifi series), and this boy being the 9th White cockerel hatched out this season. Here is K-9. He too could be bigger. I really like his type though. Really may just take him to some of these hens from last season. I had 13 hens going into this season. Culled 6 and can see culling another 3 or 4. Like to get down to a killer trio of hens from last season to use with K-9 Last season hen this may have to go. She looks nice size though. MAYBE to K-9 also? Now I should take him to Leela. An up and coming monster that both Harry and Alan really like. I mean Leela is a beast! She just a pullet too, just look at her compared to K-9. He is small but not overly small. He is younger too.

I would first use the White cock I send ya. Then try him. Worst case is you get some nice pullets that should not have any brassiness from using the cock I send ya. Take them pullets back to this boy and from there you should have that brassiness issue behind you for a few years.

W)W Dave, looks like you will do well with them. Keep track who is giving ya the best birds. I suspect Harry's hens will rock with the male you have. Good luck and have fun.

I had a white pullet with legs that may have been dark turn silver. Could this be from the addition of silver with the Dun and or Kahki gene? I dumped her and did not breed her to a black to see if it was or not.

Still trying to clean up the mess from using the imported whites. I have stopped using the male that is 1/2 imported blood and used my young male that was 100% APA blood with double silver based genes and cuckoo. I have luckily gotten some chicks that are correct for down color and leg color. Next year I should have most of the trash removed from my flock. The only imported blood I will use now are the ones from Julie and Joy's line. They seem to be the best birds probably imported into the USA. I already have cuckoos from that cross now growing thankfully.
