Julie here is the picture of my young black rooster with knickers on. It looks like he is trying to feather out alittle more. for a long time all he had was some neck feathers, a few wing feathers and of course his knickers. I have two other roosters which are like him. and I can't wait to see how they will finally feather out.
I outlined the length of down on his legs, over half his legs are covered with down. He has seen me and the camera now so he ready to make a run for it.
