Thats as bad as seeing a lot of people now on Craigs List selling speckled sussex chicks as jubilee orpington chicks for the grand price of 5 to 8 dollars each.
Put a watermark on or over the image of your photos and they will shy away from using them.

The picture of this male is on our local club website. Most of my other are watermarked. It is not hard to get pictures of your own birds. Maybe they don't own a camera?

LOL Christina,
If they are like me, I can't take a picture worth anything yet! I am learning and will eventually get it done. It must be people who take a ton of photos versus people who only take one or two per year.
Still, it is wrong to use someone elses photo without their permission. And how hard is that? The most they could say is no! They could at least identify the photo as to who it belongs to on their auction.

I knew I had seen that picture/bird before. I thought it was Henthymes show bird, but the state wasn't right. The auction was originally set up as bid or buy it now, so I bid to keep it from going as a BIN. Thought about asking for pictures of the hens, but Christina had gotten to him before I got home from work.

I did write that auction's seller. This is what his/her reply was: "that is not my rooster just like a show of what is for sale my birds look exactly like that and i can show you pics of the parent stock from where i got mine ( for some reason ebay wont let me upload my own pics) if you would like"

It is sad, because people get ripped off. If she could upload my picture, why would hers not upload? It would of been nice to get an apology but she or he did not repley to my email. They just took their auction off.

I know I'm coming in late on this string but this has happened to me in the past. A woman captured pictures off my website of my Black Copper Marans and sold her eggs and chicks on ebay utilizing my photos. When I contacted her she replied that she had been in the hospital and her children had posted the pictures without her permission. REALLY? OMG, that's the BEST she could come up with? She said her kids got into her saved pictures and put together the ad without her knowledge. Geeezzz...... Debi Heaven Sent Ranch

There are people on Ebay who have used pictures off our website to sell their eggs. As a matter of fact these pictures they were using haven't been on the website for years, so that means they had saved these copies in their files or have them stored somewhere.

They are mis-representing what they really have..there was just an auction on eBay with some massive cucoo orpS, I posted it on another site to kind of say well these are nice and BIG...one of the guys found the actual pictures in a UK advertisement..the auction was listed as from Vermont..pretty sad that someone would do that..I had the odd though that I would get those just to see what hatched out..sure wouldn't be what was advertised.
