Has anyone ever raised mealworms for feeding as suplements to a diet to raise the protein in their diet? What would you think about doing that?

Jon, Nice looking female and good color on the male. I'll tell you what I'd like to see different on the male ( I'll offer my constructive criticism opinion since I think you got him from me) is that I'd like to see more comb & wattles and a bigger head. I've only had bantam buff orpingtons a few years, but some of the males don't seem to mature to have a big head like they should have. Others have developed so that they look like a miniature version of a good LF male. That's what they should look like. Thanks for the Criticism, yes these are the ones that I got from you. I need to get some new pics of the pair. I see that picture on the Bantam Club Photo Gallery he is amazing it definitely looks just like a mini Buff Orpington.

Oh cool Vern. I got my first egg from my pullet yesterday and I hope she keeps laying so I can start hatching. How long do you guys suggest to wait before hatching eggs from a pullet?

I was thinking about the genetics of the matter and I think that your two Buff Columbian birds (SS/BO) get the columbian gene from the Sussex and the buff dilutes the Red to get that Orange Buff color. These guys should also carry the mottled gene so if you cross these two together then they should get some Mille/Speckled/Jubilee mottled and some more columbian birds.

The best way in my opinion to post pictures onto here is to make a photobucket accout here photobucket.com/ and then upload your pictures and then use the links that they provide to post the pictures.
