Tips and pointers for a first time shower. I know mostly I will just learn as I go. I like to be as prepared as possible in any situation so I have been reading a lot of information online. However the best advice usually comes from someone who has been there done that. I have my bird moved to a separate pen so she wouldn't get ruffled. I am working on getting her to be friendlier to me with treats. Her pen is outside in the shade. Closer to the show I will mover her inside and handle her more. I am worried now that the days are getting shorter that she is going to molt and come time to show she will be patchy with bald spots or new feathers coming in. The show is the end of September and I am already a nervous wreck.

She is going to be fine. You hatched her this spring and she is set to go. If you change feed or something like that you might throw her into a molt. This ain't no nervous deal, go and have fun and talk to other chicken folks, can't beat them.
