yes, have only hatched 6 so far, but they have all had spots.

I have heard them called rat snake and some call them a bull snake.

sorry to side track. There used to be bull snakes in this area, I have never seen one. I recall a story of my grandfather catching a rather large one and putting it down a rat hole. Cleaned out the rats. Now that would be a snake I could tolerate.

back to chickens, Our first chick that we hatched out is now 5 weeks old. It now shows some pepper in its wings and a little in the tail. I was told a little pepper in the tail could make a good breeder to help with color but wouldn't show. 'Course this has pepper in the wings also. Will some grow out? too early to tell? I'm kind of concerned 'cause all of our chicks 15 so have have had various amount of black spots on head.

They will probably molt those.
