Merry Xmas Jon, I am surprised how well we're handling the weather. Nothing like what Korfus has to fight with. Just some dusty snow and mid 20's. Not bad at all. I hope to dislodge my pens and start moving them around. We've been frozen in place for a week or so. Last time when it warmed up I moved them. Need to again.

thanks Jon this is nice. I posted this on the wrong thread before i found this. this is such a easy to operate forum. Now Jon I haven't met you before but I am Julie, live in Ala. have been raising Orps for about 6 yrs. I now exclusively raise them as I sold every other chicken breed I had to make more room for the ones that delight me most.

Hey there Harry. Hope your having a wonderful day. we have been on Skype with our children and grands this morn. Slept in and then fed all the birds and made brunch. My husband made some awesome coffee and we are having a quiet day which is rare for us. They had predicted snow here but it is to warm. It is snowing in the northern half of the state. Supposed to be very cold next week. I think we have enough firewood to get us through the rest of the cold weather without having to buy more. May have to build a fire this evening if the temps drop. It is in the 50's here

Merry Christmas Julie, and to all you UOC folks. I like that Jon has split it up into the different varieties. Should be alot of fun to share thoughts and ideas on breeding. Julie you will have to get out and take some pics of Hoss. I know many here will be druelling once they see him. Good luck with all your hatches.

Merry Christmas everyone who has these wonderful birds. Julie, I just got home from visiting my childrens family and had a good time. You are fortunate to have such nice weather and I hope the snow misses us tomorrow. Julie, I have been getting a lot of eggs so had to set one incubator yesterday. I have some eggs in from the male that is from your American line and hope they are fertile. Some of my eggs were definately fertile so may have a good hatch. Good luck and hope you have the same fortune with many fertile eggs. Yours and Joy;s UK type are just Owesome so keep up the good work with promoting them.

Hi Everyone - Great to see you all here !!
It's chilly Brrrrrrrrrrrr here in Southern Va and snowing, snowing, snowing. It started around noon today and is still coming down. It's a wet, heavy snow, so I hope it quits soon. We don't get a lot of snow here usually, but this is already our 3rd snow here. My birds hate it !! They were happy this morning, though. I fixed them a nice hot steaming bowl of oatmeal and yogurt, with lots of bananas cut up and mixed in. Oatmeal was flying fast and furious.
Thanks Harry !!! I hope your UK boys do a good job for you.
Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season.
Edited to add - I really like the different sections you've created Jon. That should be really helpful. Great job !!
Joy

Here we go again... another storm .. with temps predicted to be -25. Today.. I scattered another bale of shavings around on the floor, made sure all water bowls and feeders were full before closing up the coop for the night. I am hoping my birds will be ok. We shall see. Renie
