Yesterday we woke up to 14 degree temperature with sleet and ice covering everything. The wind chill was around -5 degrees. To our surprise, the Poultry Show was still a go despite all the local schools all being closed. Four of our grandsons had been working very hard bathing and grooming their birds on Saturday, getting ready for the show. On Saturday the weather was closer to 80 degrees and Sunny. :-) A local Judge, Craig Rousnville, had the task of picking the winners. Grandson Trey Stanford won Large Fowl Champion with a Buff Orpington Rooster, Grandson Christian Hand won Large Fowl Reserve Champion with a Black Orpington Rooster, Grandson Bryson Crunk won Reserve Variety with a Black Orpington Cockerel and Grandson Camden Hand won Reserve Variety with a White Wyandotte Cockerel. We are very proud of how these boys work and feeding, cleaning and grooming their birds. PS: Hey Don, I finally figured out how to post on ProBoards. LOL!!!!!

Great!! Glad you figured it out. We got up yesterday at 4 degrees and got up to 18deg in the afternoon. Those guys looked bundled up. I guess when you win it warms you up and you don't notice the cold.
