My first buffs was from a hatchery, I had little ones that wanted to raise chickens and show them Can find out fast you are not in the same class. Like trying to win KY Derby with a pony. That is when I met Leo Bowers and got eggs from him.

Thanks. Now I think I should set back and decide if I should get her full size or bantems. I like the full size, but the bantems might be easier for her to handle. Maybe we should do both? She sure likes holding the rooster though, little heavey for her.

There will be some nice buffs at the Iowa show, I can't remember those folks name. Vern knows them, it starts with a L. They live in Iowa.

I will be at the Iowa show but sadly I wont be showing, Im going out to visit my cousins for thanksgiving and staying for the show. I do want to say that I really like my bantams they have a certain attitude and cockiness about them that I like.

There you go, you are set. Don't cross them or they will be to small. If she isn't laying put a light on her and she will get going in 2 or 3 weeks.

Right, alot of people thinks you can cross hatchery type birds with big show type birds and you will end up with big ones. It's hard to keep them big breeding big to big. If the little one wants some bantam orps and black will work, I'll sent eggs or chicks. Those big guys are pretty easy to handle. Might be heavy for the little one. Who had the best orp at the show?
