just a quick note to introduce myself. I just joined UOC looking forward to learning from you guys. I'm a bit cut off where I'm at, and have no local breeders to glean info from. I breed blue and black in large fowl. Thanks Sib

Sib, welcome to the UOC, we have several breeders of blues and blacks in our club. Both US and English and some mixed. Where are you from?

Syble, Glad you found the site and hope you get the help you need here. I believe that there are others in Canada that may be near you. Since you are in Canada you may be able to get hatching eggs easily from the UK. You will need to check the regulations. Good luck. Harry

careful what you ask for, I'll pester you with pics and want every bit of constructive critasism available lol.
I split my time between amherstburg, ON and Clinton township MI.
The only blues and blacks i've come accross this side of the border come from me lol. there are a few more commercial strains too. I would love to find some that are local and improvement. I could really use a big blue and black cock. I'm happy with the progress i'm getting on the hens but think i would benifit from new males to add a bit more height and length... they seam to have decent width and breast i think...?
Should i do pictures here? or go to the blue section?
