There are folks on another poultry site who FORBID me saying who I got my Blacks from. These 4 Black hens are from KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS KORFUS KLUCKERS hahaha And we all know those very same folks like to visit our Clubs site to see the REAL ORPS. No narrow butts, or SQUIRREL TAILS here. The cock is 1/2 Korfus and 1/2 Milkey. This is a Bamma Splash. Hope you all enjoy your winter!

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this group and have already learned a lot! Brazilian waxes for boys and girls. lol
I know I've already asked Julie, Christina and Joy about aquiring a UK Blk Cockerel or a few straight run chicks but I'm here begging again.
Are there any takers out there???

A pleasant surprise today. Went out to collect eggs and 5 for 5 hens in my #1 Black pen laid. That is 4 Korfus girls and one Bamma Splash all laid. YIPPEEEE!!! PLUS, I was tired of zero fertile eggs coming out of my Blue pen and 3 weeks ago I moved out these Blue hens brother Spanky and brought in a very mediocre quality Black cockerel who also did not produce. He was bullied and now he has gone to the farm and become doggy food. So, I brought in my young tuff gun Harold, a Brown Red who does not know how to take no for an answer. I already test bred him to some of these Blue girls daughter. And got a solid Blue juvie chick from Harold and that Blue girl. Now is time to bring him in and clean up this non fertile pen and kick in some production. PICS OF THE DAY: Feran Harold and the Blue girls Oh yeah, that is the Rumpless pullet I produced also in there with him

Took a few pics of the Blacks today. Got some encouraging words from a couple of my mentors. My #2 pen I actually have a new mentor who really like this hen Doug's mentor was at the Gateway show yesterday and he liked this Black cockerel over my Buff cockerel of the same age, 6 month ole The Buff cockerel also 6 months old

Well I tried to put a pic of his lordship and the queenbee out enjoying spring grass..but it just disappeared. Nice big shiney birds. I have to have a big bowl of water for Mr softie because he can't fit in any water drinker..his noggin is too big to get a drink..I ordered a great big one but he couldn't get a drink out of that very well either so i gave it to the australorps..Mrs softie has no problem

I just had to be smarter than a toshiba tablet. tried it on sony laptop and worked fine..hard to copy paste on the tab. it is very cold here so didnt dare to clean them up.. this morning it is 29 degrees very windy. they almost seem impervious to the cold..they dont mind..they have a choice to go inside out of the wind, but rather be out around......they are well loved at our house . took a picture of big softie struggeling to get a drink out of the big waterer..i had set it up on a log end for him . he still couldnt . So i gave him a big water bowl, much easier.lost that pic last night in toshiba transfer..will try it again later.. this was a pic from last year as pullet and cockeral this is an orpington that a freind brought home for me from out west several years ago..she is a little old lady now so retired to hanging out in the yard..she doesnt go too far away..as soon as the weather turns really nice I will give her a bath..she loves it..everyone gets thier annual dusting due to tons of blue jays that come in and eat with them. i put her in the cage while I did the others. she was just coming out of the broodie mood so good time to dust.. hopefully my freind gets up here to see her pretty soon , shes really an old gal now, but still looks good. She is my favorite chicken. it got to where she was hiding in cracks and places she really couldnt fit to get away from the rooster so I thought, youve earned your retirement..and moved her with the breakfast laying hens for a little peace of mind in her old age.the thing I like most about her is when she sees you pulling in the driveway from work she runs to greet you. she has no trouble with the water drinkers thou she is a very big chicken, that is a dog cage that she is in and she fills it up..so cant figure out why big softie has a problem with these drinkers, maybe his wattles, not sure, but problem solved, just put a big bowl out.

Another picture of my little old lady..she is only laying one to 2 eggs a week now..but otherwise seems healthy as old as she is..she still runs up to greet me when I get home from work as you can see in this pic... Shes just too old to deal with the roosters anymore..

Hi Christina, I did get 2 so far..a lot of infertile, I really needed to pluck..I can't take any credit for them..its your good foundation breeding..I just get to enjoy them..right out of the gate, out of the 8 blk babies..those 2 are standing out to me..nice eye , frame width ect..time will tell..when I get a chance, I will get some pics for you..the hospital I work at is on full diversion..all traumas ect..are being re-routed..its crazy and everyone is so burned out..and crabby..so i wound up in emergency meetings, bid on that auction but had to let it go..couldnt up bid in the middle of meting and its not like i didnt have the money.I'm in need of some serious r & r.. At least .I have the pleasure of coming home, hopping in my lawn chair with soda and watch the babies..tottaly calming ..Jackie Faulkner told me they went to a chicken auction down south, he said the birds were selling with real good prices..very high.the or PS were fetching the most..anywhere from 80.00 up to 300.00 apeice.that's crazy!
The little old lady pastor romig brought home for me long time ago..I had 2 but one died this spring, also an old girl....I just adore that old chicken..
I do have 9 of that pairs eggs under 2 broodys and added 5 more saved up to put in with some shipped eggs.

I forgot to add to that, I have 9 set under 2 broody dependable Aussies marked in pencil dates of set and 6 in incubator with some shipped eggs..saved up from that pair..going to be way too late to show those this year..out of the 2 hatched earlier on, one I'm keeping my eye on..and one other one from the other group..time will tell..several of the pullets are smaller but there is one big strapping pullet in there..she's pretty interesting..we'll see what happens.
