Christina, their beauties! I have finally got a hold of the gentlemen with the Coulter Buff/White Sports. He did say their like your sports Christina. Their Buff at heart. He also does Buffs. For now the plan is for him to send me some with one of his friends who will be attending Crossroads. I am suppose to give him a call here sometime this summer. Hope he is doing well and will have a great year with his Orps. I may also look into a Buff or two. He has Coulter lines in his birds. Hope all works out for us, and I will share next spring with my White Orp friends.

Thanks Jon, Joy and Bill. I truly love the whites. Still some work to go but they are coming along. I am excited about the white sports that Joyce sent me. Will keep everyone updated on how those turn out to. I tried to get some pictures today but I got a bunch of pictures with them turning their heads and running away. Guess I will have to try again later.

Just raised the White flag in my hopes that my White cockerel would be interested in this White pullet. I also contacted my back up plan breeders. I wrote Paul, he is fighting with Mareks, and has some with Brassiness. He is down to 9 Whites. One is the adult cock and his son, then a pair of sis's to the cock rest are young pullets. Contacted Laverne, who has some Coulter Buff Sports, who will be letting some head to Crossroads piggyback riding with a friend. Doug has a sport too from the Secretary of the Central Indiana Poultry Show, the same lady who Christina got her sports from. She may have a Sport or two in addition to the one Doug has of hers. No more wasting time. This White pullet looks decent to me. Christina says it is a good time to take this White pullet to a Black cockerel/cock. Christina seems to be right all the time, and knows her birds. I like her motto: "You need to build the barn before you worry about painting it, no matter how much paint you pour on your barn, you can not hide a poorly constructed barn" This is the Black who is somewhere around 7 to 8 months old. He is the contractor I am using to build some nice solid barns. I gave him a different looking pullet, that to me appears to be an Exchequer. So, lets have some fun with him and these two pullets. I really like to see what we can do with the Exchequer. Just a fun novelty to have running around. The contractor is on the right, SERPICO. I have Cuckoos who can help with my Whites Actually Cuckoo can eliminate Brassiness

I have a auction for some projects that will be split white. I am hoping to improve size, type and genetic diversity. I did not think they would bid up this high, due to being projects so I figured I would throw in a dozen white eggs from my pen of whites come fall that will hatch pure. bidbird.com/listings/details/bidhistory.cfm?itemnum=996345653

I had a good year with my whites. I have kept 4 pullets and one cockerel plus a cuckoo cockerel(not sure if I will keep him or not at this point). As you all know I got my start from a local fellow that use to show and sold all his birds to show people. His name was Alan and he lived close to me. His neighbor is a person I had sold English Show Budgies back in the 1970's and I see him every time I sell at the flea market. Alan is also suppose to visit the flea market but I have never noticed him there. I was told Alan had sold all his whites and buffs since they were the only color he had when I was at his house. His whites were suppose to be from Cecil's stock over 20 years ago. I am very happy with them but I never sell this stock since I had obtained them several years ago. Did give a few people some hatching eggs over the years though.
