Came back from the Pa farm show as was very disappointed. There were only about 7 buff LF entered but only two were what I would have wanted for any breeding program. Some were definately hatchery stock. Larry Clionsky had best Orp and Reserve English, was bet out by a black Australorp which there were many of various qualities as always.
Well, that was a bit depressing. We went to the Farm show to see the poultry (amoung other things) and other then the Best of Show, the Orps had been moved out? Most of the rest of the birds where there, but there was 2 lines of coops that were completely empty. Best of Show was a pretty bird, but he was sleeping, so we didn't get a good look at him.
He won best Orp a few years ago with a black(I am senile and can't remember back that far) I believe and last year Larry Clionsky won with a buff. Tom is well known in Pennsylvania and has shown for many years.
