Hi Don, It is your Black Bantam Orpington. Hatched it from eggs from Tom.

He look's pretty nice. It's hard to find blacks that didn't come from Warren. I guess I have had them 25 years or so. I know it's been a long time. I have only gotten males from Warren and one time I did a black rock male and bred it out. With the black rock offspring and the project white from Vern is where the cuckoo orp bantams sprouted.

I also have the whites carrying cuckoo. Also have whites from Tom that he got from Vern that are not carrying cuckoo. I only want the best birds. I also want to thank Julie again for the large fowl English black cockerel she sold me.

Charles, will you be attending the Newnan show? Do hope to get to meet you. I will be bringing out several colors in the bantams.

Don, my Buff's came from Doug Akers. I am really enjoying them. I look forward to showing my Orpingtons down here in the South. There doesn't seem to be a lot of Large Fowl down here in the deep South and especially Orpingtons but I hope to change that a little in the next few years. Julie seems to have done a good job spreading the blacks and blues down here so maybe I can do the same with the Buff's. I would love to see some great Orpington classes down here in our Southern shows.

I am finding the same thing here in NC, orps are almost non existent but working on changing that in both LF and bantams.

Matt, you got a good start it looks like. Very nice. That Julie and Imogene are the real deal. I met them at the Ohio National when we had the Orp National there. They are so much fun.
