Yes, I had overlooked the fact these 2 of my 9 Cuckoo offspring have Rosecombs. Not to be unexpected since BUSTOFF is their grandad. And he has thrown a green egg laying Lemon Blue Ameraucana looking pullet. Don, you like the Rosecombs. Here is some new blood for ya. And their smaller too. MAYBE Cuckoo Rosecomb Banties anyone? hahahahahaha

Bill, I'm on the downhill side of Rosecombs. When I was looking for a cuckoo male, they wasn't any around. I got one from a guy in Fort Summer, NM. I had blacks from Rick Hare and when I wasn't crossing the cuckoo with my bbreds I crossed the blacks and got some pretty nice rosecombs. This year I crossed a pair of cuckoo rosecombs and the males come cuckoo and the females came black. I talked to Tom in GA, I gave him my last 2 cuckoo orps, he is doing blue cuckoos. I can't wait to see how they look.

Don I hatched out a Lavender egg from Harry. It wound up being a Cuckoo Lav cock. When I bred him to a Black hen I had this fella. He prolly only has one Cuckoo barring gene but plan on taking him to a Cuckoo pullet.

You know when I got my cuckoo orps, I crossed a project white male (wynxorp) from Vern on my black orp bantams and got a load of them. I didn't know till my teaching buddy ask me when I got barred rocks, I told him they was rosecombs. He said the combs don't match. I checked the toemarks and sure as the world I had cuckoos. That standard crele orp is still on my mind. I'm looking for a female and haven't found her yet.

Then just wait till next season Don. I have several option to take to my Cuckoos to make some Silver Creles. This girl here is my youngest and most promising girl to take to these Cuckoo boys. She will be a wide load. I like her potential to get us some nice chunky Silver Creles.

I was talking to Sam the other day and was telling him about my crele orp and my idea at first was to do a bbred old english. I know the body type would be a wreck. He said have you ever seen a red dorking, I never have. I got the Standard and I think he might be right. Don't know if they will lose the toe.

Just got an email back from Dan about this Silvery pullet. This is what he said; The silver pullet looks to be silver penciled. She looks like a hatchery silver penciled rock with white leg color. She does not look duckwinged or salmon breasted. If you have good barred ,perhaps you can make silver creel from her. Dan Nice thing about Dan is he is brutally honest and only wants the best for folks. So, this MAYBE my closest shot at a Crele IF I take her to a CUckoo
