These are what I have going on. I culled down to just one of my original 3. Both Harry and Paul told me the one to use. The one I kept is now with 2 of my Black girls. This pic is fairly old. I have 3 outside growing out and will get a pic tomorrow and post them. Plus I have a half dozen more growing out to share with a couple of friends. Both are going to get me some Whites come fall.

I assume that the barred rock is introduced at some time to a orpington and then just line breed those have the color that you want ? Cuckoo means ? ? Barred ?

My cuckoo bantams came from black orp females that had a shot of black rock 4 or 5 yearsa befors and I bred it out crossed over a white project male I got from Vern, he was half white orp and half wyandotte. I guess the wyandotte caries a barring gene and I guess the black rock might of had a shot of barred in it.

Here is a Rosecomb Cuckoo Bantam. I have no other Bantams. I guess someday I will get a Black Bantam cockerel cheap. Or just wait for one more Rosecomb cuckoo Banty to pop out.

The lemon cuckoo is fairly new I think, have we seen any thing done with them and the gray or blue cuckoo crossed? Sorry if these are silly questions, just feel free to say enough I won't be offended.

Corn if you want to ask a question, just ask it. If no one knows we will find someone. I was going to cross a buff orp bantam with the cuckoo, I didn't have a fertile male and trashed the project. I was going to try and make buff cuckoo.

That is sure not what I would have expected out of that cross ! if you crossed it back to a cuckoo would you expect the barring to show back up ? and who knows what color ? interesting ! !

The male that you used must have been heterozygous, if crossed back to cuckoo the barring should show back up
