You got a better pic of the female. I would say you have a nice start of buffs. I only have 2 females and 2 males of the buffs. I got my first egg yesterday from the buffs. Blues and blacks are starting to lay good. Whites are still thinking about laying I guess. Has you buff lady layed yet.

She hasnt started laying yet. We are having a cold streak right now and their waterer's are freezing in their heated pens right now. I hope she starts laying soon so that I can get some birds from her to show this fall.

Jon,
I like those pullets. I have Buff Bantams too. They were my 1st pure bred show birds.

Oh cool Vern. I got my first egg from my pullet yesterday and I hope she keeps laying so I can start hatching. How long do you guys suggest to wait before hatching eggs from a pullet?

Jon, Nice looking female and good color on the male. I'll tell you what I'd like to see different on the male ( I'll offer my constructive criticism opinion since I think you got him from me) is that I'd like to see more comb & wattles and a bigger head. I've only had bantam buff orpingtons a few years, but some of the males don't seem to mature to have a big head like they should have. Others have developed so that they look like a miniature version of a good LF male. That's what they should look like.

Go to the ABA website www.bantamclub.com Get registered if you have't already and click on "Photos" and look at a Buff Orpington bantam male, in the SCCL section. It comes up on page 3 of the SCCL photos, on my screen.

I need to get some new pics of the pair. I see that picture on the Bantam Club Photo Gallery he is amazing it definitely looks just like a mini Buff Orpington.
