John, is that snow on the ground? I was going to say that boy needed a straw hat with the straw in his beak, might need ear muffs. Nice birds.

Hello. I was wondering why my buff rooster would get a white feather in his tail wiyh brown edgeing. He was buff colared all summer. Also my hen has brown markings on the last inch of her tail. is this something that happens or are mine showing they are no correct. Bought form feed store that sold cackle hatchurie chicks. The hen that is setting on eggs is all buff colored. should I look for better chickens to raise. My 7 year old wants to get in 4h, and show chickens.

I would suggest that you get better stock if you want to show because Cackle hatchery doesnt carry the best birds for showing.

She is my daughter. I adopted her. and her brother and sister too. I will have to buy an incubator first, been looking. Just need to figure out what is best to buy. I was planing on going to eastern Iowa Poultry show this saturday. I'll check out the Buff's there. They look good all summer?
Thanks for the help. I thought I would have to change directions.
