The last show I was at one of the breeders was telling me about a product that was useful for cleaning white birds for show. I wrote it down on a piece of paper and of course I have misplaced the paper. I think it was something like white X or Bright X does that ring a bell for any of you folks. I was told it can be bought at Rural King or Farm Stores. If any of you can help jog my memory I would be grateful. What formulas are used to keep white birds white? Anybody have any good formulas?

Here is a list of products that help to clean white birds, especially those who happened to be standing under the roost at the wrong time. I have not tried all these products but there are breeders out there that claim these can help.
Here goes

Plum White shampoo
hydrogen peroxide
Ivory liquid or liquid castile soap
1/2 cup of 20 mule team borax added to the bath makes it more effective
Sullivans livestock shampoo Sullivan’s Stain Buster™ Liquid Bluing Shampoo
baby shampoo
Blue Ribbon shampoo
Sterling Solutions silver Brightening shampoo used to remove yellowing in gray hair on humans, it has been said that it works for white poultry.
1-2 drops of bluing to 1 gallon of water. be careful and don't get carried away with the amount or you could end up with a blue tinged bird
Tide with Bleach

Cowboy magic green spot remover
Vetrolin White N Brite
