This may be a dumb question but what exactly does "special meet" mean?

Matte my understanding is that the UOC has sent the official paperwork to the show secretary so if you are a UOC member and are showing birds in the show and they win or place you will recieve points that are credited to you in the UOC.
If you have heard of Master breeders for clubs that is how they achieve that status is by showing at shows where the points are counted.
If I am wrong Christina , Don , Doug, Vern please correct this.

Sounds good to me, you did good. Julie, you should take 2 Show Reports with you to make sure. One for open and one for junior if they have a jr show. They may have the report already. Don't hurt to be prepared.

The lowest level of meet is a Special Meet- The UOC directors can and should offer at least a Special Meet to every show. The District Director can offer one State Meet per year per state. And, one District Meet per District.
This year, the club is making a major effort to place meets and to compile who had BV, BB, RB (thanks to Vern). More points are allocated to the higher meets. The end result is that we can have Exhibitor of the Year awards. For example, Black Orpington LF Exhibitor of the Year; Buff Orpington LF...of the year; etc. same with white...Also, same with bantams. And, a LF exhibitor of the year and Bantam Exhibitor of the Year.

Not a problem Charles. The best part is my Cockerel went on to win "Champion Large Fowl". It was a great show, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the show was ran very well. There was a good representation of Orpingtons there. I don't know exactly how many but I would say 20 or more.
