Bill
You pullets are beautiful and they have cute faces. I remember a breeder saying always show the birds with the cute faces.

I hope Gayle the Whites you hatched from my eggs turn out as nice. Give me a call when you have time Bill

Here is a pic for Harry. He seen just this fella's head earlier and wondered how he is coming along. I did not want to force him to get off his butt so this is one pic for now Harry. I will get him when he gets off his @ss tomorrow. He is gettin ready for bedtime tonite. I have some of the Buffs growin out with him and am pleasantly pleased how their doing. Need to thank Doug for selling me that handsome Buff cock last summer at the GREENVILLE OHIO SHOW for $20. The best breeders in our club make it possible for the little people like me to enjoy this hobby and not charge an arm and a leg for their better culls.

Bill, have you bred many of the buffs sports or whatver they are called? don Hey Don I have 2 Buff Sport pullets in with this Harry White Orp male. So some of these Whites are 1/2 from them Buff Sports. Then I have the very nice Buff Sport cock that Doug hatched out of Joyce's line who is in with one of your Buff hens and one Terry Britt hen. He last year did not do his job. I had 2 Mottled Black Orp hens in with him and he now is breeding them but is ignoring the 2 Buffs. So i have these Mottleds for sale and soo he will have no choice but to breed the Buff girls or not breed at all.

When I made my white bantams I used a white blue splash over a wyn/rock cross. Then I got a white orp boy from Warren and crossed him on those daughters out of the splash cross. I would think crossing one of the white sports on a wyn would be good.

And their the other 1/2 of my offspring this season. These 2 Wyandottes are not quite to laying age. I have them and their brother growing out. I was thinking of taking them to the Buff Sport cock. I should get snowball Whites.

Christina, That sounds great. There are a few probably today that would give him a run for his money at the shows but none will ever be able to show where he did since those are now non-existant. I do not know if the Madison Square Garden even has a chicken show anymore. Don't even know who would poses 10,000 birds today other than the people with the poultry processing establishments. Price of feed plus in those days you won usually a substantual amount of money at the shows for you winning. Times have changed but at least they are allowing people in some of the cities to own some layers.
