Thanks for putting up the pics of the Whites +. They look very similar to some of ours down-under. The last pic of the Ckl is similar in type to the 2012 possible Ckl here at home. From a global sharing perspective have just updated some photos at www.waningaorpingtons.weebly.com. Will add some pics of this seasons White growers over the next few days- its finally stopped raining here and is going to get to get up over 100F again! Very happy with this years all of which have come out of Atlas the subject of the story on the website . Regards to all Martin D

The pics you have shared have been very nice Orps. I wish more Orp breeders here in the states had the dedication that you and your fellow Aussies have to making better birds. I hope to be using that Black cock over many birds this year. He is by far my largest BBS male. It is very hard to find any BBS cocks with a nice full rounded chest. When you get one you need to use him to the fullest. I hope to be sharing this season with many folks here in the Indiana area. Thanks for the nice words. looking forward to seeing how well you do this coming year have a great day! Bill

It is very cold here today. But this White fella doesn't seem to mind. I think I mentioned I have 4 more of these Buff Sports. All are chicks and 5 more Single Comb White Wyandootes. I hope to be able to have them lay later this season.

Also, it is very hard to keep whites clean. I put saddles on the females I want to breed and show.

In Dec 2010 Doug had hatched out a Buff Sport cockerel. Nice size boy too! Doug only raises Buffs and gave me that very nice boy. Had him all last summer. Seemed like he had no clue. This spring he is getting it on. I have 2 very average quality Blacks in with him to see what would come out when you take a Buff Sport cockerel to a Black hen. Well, yesterday I had 2 hatch out. So, for Krys and Gayle here is a clue of what to expect. Now I plan on putting in with him a very typeee Black pullet with a good size head to let him use and abuse. I hope to make more chicks like this one. With any hope we can fuse the traits from this Buff Sport in with Blacks. Nothing happens overnite. And it may take another generation or two till I get the traits I want. but I feel good about this boy and what he can do for my Blacks. Who needs BUSTOFF now! Talked to Christina and the White spot indicates a Barring gene. SO I guess I have some more Cuckoos to play with. Cuckoos can be taken to Whites as well to make more Whites. Speaking of Cuckoos. Still haven't taken my Silver Duckwing out of the pen with these 2 Cuckoo boyz. And I am incubating these eggs from my Duckwing to make Silver Creles
